What are the next steps if I am successful at my online assessment centre?

You will be informed by email within 20 working days of attending your online assessment centre.

You will receive a provisional offer pending successful completion of pre-employment checks and pending the availability of suitable vacancy locations.

Please ensure you follow further instructions from the recruitment centre regarding your pre-employment checks. Please refer to your invite email for guidance on which documents are acceptable or visit the ID Documents tab.

Pre-employment checks required.

Your pre-employment checks include HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) Enhanced Level 2 vetting.

Once you have accepted your provisional offer you will receive an onboarding form to commence the Enhanced Level 2 vetting via email, this needs to be fully completed as soon as possible. With the onboarding form you will receive instructions on what documentation you are required to upload. Please respond to all requests from the vetting team immediately in order that checks can begin promptly. Failure to engage in the vetting process early on may result in pre-employment checks not being complete in time for the fixed start date. In your application form you were asked for details of your ID and right to work in the UK documents – depending on your response, you may be required to undergo a face-to-face meeting to verify your documents later in the recruitment process.

Once in post you will also need to complete Non-Police Personnel Vetting Level 2 (NPPV2) as access to the multi-agency Violent and Sex Offender Register (ViSOR) system will be required as part of these posts.

Proof that you have been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years is required to complete the NPPV2 vetting process. If you have been out of the country for a significant period (usually up to one year) and maintained your UK residency you may still be considered for vetting clearance. For further information please see section 6.4 of the APP Vetting document.

Allocations Process

Allocations of successful candidates for the forthcoming intake will be undertaken once all online assessment centres have been completed. You will be notified of your location in due course. If you accept your location and successfully pass pre-employment checks, you will receive a contract of employment for the forthcoming intake. It is important that you complete and return all your pre-employment vetting forms as soon as possible, should you receive a location offer we will only be able to provide a contract if the pre-employment checks are successfully completed.

You will also be contacted separately by the relevant university regarding which programme length you will be placed on.

PQiP placement locations are determined by business need and it is not always possible to place you at a suitable vacancy, a placement in your chosen location can never be guaranteed in any intake.
